About 60 per cent of India’s annual requirement of edible oils is met by import and it is our national duty to end this import dependency. Farmers should be given additional benefit for increasing the cultivation area of oilseeds. Millions of families need pure and natural edible oils for improving immunity replacing the harmful edible oils.
Phase I in Maharashtra : Cultivation
Cooperation for cultivation technology and research from Agri Universities and Agri Dept., Govt. of Maharashtra. Scope for cultivation of oilseeds is in about 29 districts of Maharashtra and our Coordinators have been engaged in the same in collaboration with ATMA’s shetkari Mitra’s. About 0.1 million Ha. Is the projected cultivation of various oilseeds in 29 districts of Maharashtra and about 0.1 million of tones is the projected produce.
Establishment of about 2000 Lakdi Ghani Oils Units
About 2000 aspiring entrepreneurs are being provided with all the services required i. e. technology, training , assistance for finance, installation and even marketing. Each aspiring entrepreneur is expected to earn about Rs. 50000 income per month in rural or urban Maharashtra.
Participation in the efforts of reducing import dependency of edible oils by about 5 %. Millions of Families are being made available pure and natural edible oils for improvement of immunity. Entrepreneurs as well as employment generation of about 10000 direct and 10000 indirect in rural Maharashtra. Oilseed grower farmers are benefitted by means of reasonable market price for their produce, more yield due to productivity improvement mission and dividend from processing.
